What inspired you to pursue a career in Aesthetics?

I was inspired to pursue a career in aesthetics because I wanted to build on my experience as an RN while developing new skills in the aesthetics industry. I saw it as an opportunity to expand my knowledge, combine my medical background with my passion for helping others, and continue growing professionally in a field I’m excited about.

 

What excites you the most about becoming an Aesthetician?

What excites me most about becoming an aesthetician is the opportunity to make people happy and help them feel more confident in themselves. I love being able to make someone feel cared for, whether it’s through a treatment, personalized skincare advice, or simply creating a positive experience. Knowing I can make a difference in how someone feels about themselves is what makes this career so rewarding to me.

 

Why did you choose NIMA for your education?

I had a great experience with NIMA when I took a continuing education course on injections, and I was impressed by the professionalism and quality of the education. When I was ready to pursue my goal of becoming an aesthetician, NIMA was the first school that came to mind. I already knew and trusted the environment, instructors, and level of education, so I knew I wanted to return to NIMA to continue my education and build my career.

 

Which resources or experiences at NIMA have had the biggest impact on helping you achieve your goals?

The program and instructors at NIMA have had the biggest impact on helping me achieve my goals. The curriculum has given me a strong foundation in both theory and hands-on skills, while the instructors have provided guidance, support, and real-world knowledge throughout my education. Their experience and encouragement have helped me build confidence and prepare for a successful career in the aesthetics industry.

 

What are your goals after graduating from NIMA?

My goal after graduating from NIMA is to pursue a career as a laser RN. I’m excited to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve gained at NIMA in a professional setting, continue developing my expertise in laser treatments, and provide safe, effective care to my clients.

 

If future students could hear one piece of advice from you, what would you want them to know?

Do it! Growth comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone and embracing change. Even if you’re nervous or unsure at first, trust yourself and take the leap. The experience will challenge you, help you grow, and ultimately become something you’re so glad you did.
