What inspired you to pursue a career in Aesthetics?

After exploring different career paths, I realized that aesthetics is something I truly love and feel passionate about. I want to help others in the same way someone once helped me overcome my own skin concerns. My goal is not only to educate clients on how to properly care for their skin, but also to help them feel more confident, embrace themselves, and feel their best in their own skin.

What excites you the most about becoming an Aesthetician?

What excites me most about becoming an esthetician is the opportunity to help people feel more confident in their own skin while educating them about products and treatments that can help them achieve their skin goals. I’m also excited to meet new people, build meaningful relationships with clients, and continue learning and growing in an industry that is constantly evolving. To me, becoming an esthetician is more than just a career; it’s an opportunity to challenge myself, continue developing my skills, and become the best version of myself.

Why did you choose NIMA for your education?

The resources and hands-on experiences at NIMA have had the greatest impact on helping me achieve my goals. I especially enjoy performing facials and laser treatments because they have helped me build confidence, gain valuable experience, and continue developing my skills. I appreciate that NIMA gives students access to professional products, real clients, and hands-on training, allowing us to make the most of the resources available to us. The school also encourages continuous growth by providing opportunities to work with clients, track our progress, and stay motivated to learn and improve every day.

Which resources or experiences at NIMA have had the biggest impact on helping you achieve your goals?

I toured several schools and spent a great deal of time researching where I wanted to enroll, but NIMA stood out to me the most. When I visited NIMA, there was a warm, welcoming atmosphere and positive energy. The environment, professionalism, and overall culture gave me confidence that NIMA was the right place for me. When the opportunity to attend NIMA came my way, I decided to fully invest in it and pursue a career in an industry I genuinely care about.

What are your goals after graduating from NIMA?

My goal after graduating from NIMA is to work at a medical spa or another professional environment where I can continue gaining experience, refining my skills, and building relationships with new clients. I want to develop a strong clientele, grow my social media presence, and continue expanding my knowledge within the industry. Ultimately, my goal is to become an independent esthetician and build a successful business of my own.

If future students could hear one piece of advice from you, what would you want them to know?

If you’re struggling like I was, whether you’re working in a toxic environment or feeling stuck in a career you don’t truly enjoy, I encourage you to take the chance and invest in yourself. It can feel scary and uncertain at first, but choosing to go back to school and pursue something you’re passionate about can completely change your life. The journey may not always be easy, but the experience, knowledge, personal growth, and confidence you gain along the way will make it all worthwhile. Your future self will thank you for taking that first step.
