What inspired you to pursue a career in Aesthetics?

I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the beauty industry, so after high school, I moved to Nevada to continue my education. It was a big and exciting step for me, and while I was nervous, it gave me the opportunity to pursue something I’ve always been passionate about. I wanted to challenge myself, become more independent, and build a career that combines beauty, wellness, and connection with others. Pursuing advanced esthetics has allowed me to turn my passion into a career while helping others feel confident in their own skin.

What excites you the most about becoming an Aesthetician?

What excites me most about becoming an Advanced Aesthetician is the opportunity to help people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin while continuing to grow my knowledge and skills. I love combining skin care, science, and personalized treatments to help clients achieve real results. I’m also excited to build meaningful relationships, learn new techniques and technologies, and make a positive impact by helping clients look and feel their best.

Why did you choose NIMA for your education?

Choosing NIMA in Nevada was one of the best decisions I made for my education. The strong reputation, hands-on training, and supportive learning environment gave me the experience and confidence I needed to grow. I gained valuable skills in advanced esthetics, skin care treatments, and professionalism while learning from inspiring instructors and classmates. NIMA helped me turn my passion for beauty and skin care into a career I’m excited and confident to pursue.

Which resources or experiences at NIMA have had the biggest impact on helping you achieve your goals?

The hands-on experience I gained with laser treatments and chemical peels at NIMA has had the biggest impact on helping me achieve my goals. Practicing advanced treatments in a real clinical environment helped me build confidence, improve my technique, and strengthen my understanding of client care and safety. These experiences prepared me to feel confident and capable as I enter the med spa industry.

What are your goals after graduating from NIMA?

After graduating from NIMA, my goal is to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve gained in a professional setting. I’m especially interested in working at a laser-focused spa because I’m fascinated by the precision and technology involved. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow my skills, and build a rewarding career in the aesthetics industry.

If future students could hear one piece of advice from you, what would you want them to know?

Take advantage of every learning opportunity NIMA has to offer. From theory classes and demonstrations to mini classes and hands-on training, every experience has helped me grow my knowledge, build my clientele, and gain confidence during treatments. These opportunities have also helped prepare me for a successful career in the real-world aesthetics industry.
