Kat: Finding Her Path
What inspired you to pursue a career in Aesthetics?
After dropping out of high school, I knew I needed to find a focus and a career path that aligned with my passion for uplifting others and creating a community centered around wellness. Aesthetics felt like a natural fit because it allowed me to combine my passion for helping people with a career where I could make a positive impact.
What excites you the most about becoming an Aesthetician?
What excites me most is being able to help people feel more confident while being part of their personal journey. I love seeing how something as simple as caring for yourself can positively impact someone’s confidence and overall well-being.
Why did you choose NIMA for your education?
NIMA felt like a natural choice because its focus aligned with what I was looking for in a career. I wanted an education that would give me the skills to work in the industry while also allowing me to grow personally and professionally.
Which resources or experiences at NIMA have had the biggest impact on helping you achieve your goals?
The hands-on experiences and supportive community at NIMA had the biggest impact on me. Working directly with clients helped me build confidence and gain real-world experience. The support and encouragement from instructors and classmates also showed me how important it is to have people cheering you on throughout your journey.
What are your goals after graduating from NIMA?
After working in the aesthetics industry, I realized that my passion extended beyond performing treatments. I discovered how much I loved supporting people who were exploring new passions and career paths. Today, I’m an instructor at NIMA, where my goal is to continue helping students build confidence, discover their potential, and find a career they’re passionate about.
If future students could hear one piece of advice from you, what would you want them to know?
Take the leap and believe in yourself. Your path may not always look the way you expected, but that doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. Embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover what you’re truly passionate about.
