Does CoolSculpting work on the stomach?

Just about everyone has that trouble area. That one spot on their body that, no matter what they do, they just can’t get that fat to go away. For many, that spot is on there stomach. It’s really common to get a little pouch there that feels like it can’t be gotten rid of. But there may actually be a way to get rid of it. And this way doesn’t involve having to do a million crunches or having to drink a gross smoothie that more-than-likely doesn’t actually do anything. This treatment that we’re talking about is backed by science and the Food and Drug Administration. It is CoolSculpting.

But this may seem a little odd at first. Odds are, you’ve heard of CoolSculpting Salt Lake City in reference to arms and chins. But CoolSculpting can work on your stomach. We’ll explain it all to you, but first, let’s talk about how CoolSculpting works.

How does CoolSculpting work?

Every living thing has a freezing point. This is a temperature that is so cold that the living thing dies. And when we say, “every living thing,” we mean every living thing. Even the individual cells in your body, including fat cells. In fact, fat cells freeze at a much warmer temperature than any of the cells that surround it. This means that a temperature that kills fat is barely noticeable to skin and muscle cells. This is how CoolSculpting works, by freezing fat cells, but leaving the rest untouched.

The fact that the other cells are untouched by the CoolSculpting is part of the reason why is stands out from other weight loss treatments. Things like liposuction are intrusive. As a result, they cause damage to the surrounding areas. This means you need time to recover and you may even end up with scars. CoolSculpting couldn’t be more different. The surrounding areas won’t need any time to heal. Once your CoolSculpting session is over, that’s it. You’re done and you can go on with your day. Plus, there is no lasting marks to show where you had the sculpting done. There may be some redness, swelling, and even bruising in the place that you had the CoolSculpting done, but they fade not long after your final session.

Speaking of CoolSculpting sessions, let’s talk a little bit about how those work. It begins with your CoolSculpting technician placing a protective pad on your target area. This pad is to help keep your skin from being exposed to too much cold. While its freezing temperature is much colder than fat’s, it’s still good to have this added protection. Then the technician puts the CoolSculpting applicator in place and sets it to run for a predetermined period of time (we’ll get into how the time is determined later). During this time, you can do what ever you like, as long as it keeps you in the chair. Then once the time is over, the technician turns off the applicator and removes it. After that, they massage the target area. This is to help break up the frozen cells and speed up their expulsion. Once all of that is done, you can get back to your life.

While CoolSculpting sessions are relatively quick, the results of CoolSculpting take much longer. It’s not uncommon to not see any real results for several weeks. CoolSculpting can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months to actually take effect, depending on the area and how much fat is there. This is because the body works rather slowly and takes a minute (or several) to notice when a cell has died. Then it needs time to get rid of the dead cell. So, remember to be patient after your sessions are over.

Since we are talking about some of the important facts of CoolSculpting, let’s touch on another thing that everyone should know. CoolSculpting is not for everyone. It is mainly designed to help people who are near the end of their weight loss journey. They are almost at their target weight but need a bit of a hand getting rid of those last little pockets of fat. This means that if you are severely overweight or have been diagnosed with obesity, then CoolSculpting likely will not work for you.

Can I get it done on the stomach?

Now that you’ve got an understanding of how CoolSculpting works, let’s get to the main reason why you’re here: learning about CoolSculpting for the stomach.

As stated above, yes you can get CoolSculpting done on your stomach. In fact, that is a very common place that people get CoolSculpting done. You can actually get CoolSculpting done just about anywhere on your body, as long as there is the right amount of fat there. To figure it out you can do what is called the “pinch test.” This is where you pinch a part of your body and if you have a pinch of fat then you can CoolSculpt it. So, with CoolSculpting you can finally say goodbye to that stubborn belly fat.

However, you may be wondering, how can I be sure that I really can CoolSculpting an area? Well, we have an easy solution for you. Here at the NIMA Institute, we offer free CoolSculpting consultations. At this consultation, you and your CoolSculpting expert will go through the CoolSculpting process, determine if you are a viable candidate, determine your target area (or areas), and determine how many sessions you will need and how long they will last. All of that for free. If during that consultation you decide that CoolSculpting isn’t for you, then that’s just fine. Better to know than to always wonder.

So, to sum this all up, yes, you can get CoolSculpting done on your stomach. Not only that, but it is a safe and effective way to get rid of stubborn fat. The way to start is by contacting us here at the NIMA Institute. If you’re ready to get rid of that stubborn belly fat and start loving your new body, make your appointment for your free consultation today. How risky is CoolSculpting?

It feels like everywhere you look there’s some sort of advertisement for an easy way to lose fat. But most are wary of these ads and for good reason. Many of these programs and treatments aren’t good for you. In fact, some of them are downright dangerous. So, what about CoolSculpting? In recent years it has gotten a lot of attention. But is it safe? What kind of risks are you running if you get it done? These are good questions that absolutely should be addressed before you have CoolSculpting SLC done. Luckily, here at the NIMA Institute, we are one of the countries leaders in CoolSculpting, so we’re experts in this area. Let’s get started, shall we?

What is CoolSculpting?

Let’s start by explaining what CoolSculpting is and how it works. That way, you have a better idea of what effects it may have.

CoolSculpting takes advantage of one interesting fact about fat: It freezes at a much higher temperature than all of the cells surrounding it. Meaning that the temperature that freezes and essentially kills fat cells leaves the surrounding cells untouched. So, if you expose an area to a particular temperature, the fat cells will freeze and die, but the skin and muscles will be fine. This is pretty different from other weight loss procedures, as they can cause a fair amount of damage to the surrounding cells. For example, because liposuction is an intrusive procedure, you may have damage to your skin and have to heal after the procedure is done. That recovery time is actually another point where CoolSculpting tends to stand out.

To explain CoolSculpting further, let’s touch on what happens during a CoolSculpting session. Your session will start with a CoolSculpting technician placing a protective pad on your target area. While in general CoolSculpting is considered safe (we will touch on what other problems you may run into later), this pad is an added precaution to help make sure that you are completely protected. After the pad ais in place, your CoolSculpting technician will then place the CoolSculpting applicator on the target area for a predetermined period of time (usually falling within 15 to 45 minutes). During this time, you can do whatever you like (as long as it keeps you in the CoolSculpting chair). Many people catch up on sleep or work. Then after that predetermined time is over, the technician will remove the applicator and pad and massaged the target area. The massage helps break up the frozen cells to help them expel more quickly.

This is the part that really makes CoolSculpting stand out. After the session is over, you’re done (at least, until your next session)! You can go back to work, back home, or back to running errands. Whatever you were planning on doing that day, you can still do it. This is part of the reason why people love CoolSculpting so much. There is no need to recover after the procedure. You can just get back to your life.

People also love CoolSculpting because the results are pretty incredible. Not only does the fat go away, but it stays away. This doesn’t mean that you won’t ever gain weight again. You may very well still. But the weight won’t be focused in your target areas like it was before. Instead, the weight will be more even distributed. However, usually people are so excited about their new bodies that they work hard to keep the weight off.

It should be noted that CoolSculpting’s effects are not immediate. Your body needs time to figure out that the cells have died and get rid of them. Depending on the area and the amount of fat in that area, this can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to four months. So, remember to be patient.

What risks are associated with it?

All of this sounds pretty to good to be true, doesn’t it? You may be thinking, “Alright, what’s the catch?” The thing is, there isn’t really a catch. Most who are approved for CoolSculpting don’t deal with any major effects. You may experience some pinch and tingling sensations during the session, but those go away eventually. Granted, they go away because the area goes numb, but that numbness goes away a little while after the session has ended. Afterwards, you may see some swelling, redness, and bruising, but these also fade. But there is a little bit more to this.

In the above paragraph we mentioned that people have to be approved for CoolSculpting. This is because it isn’t for everyone. It is mainly made for those who are just about at their target weight. This means that if you’ve been diagnosed with obesity, you can’t get CoolSculpting done. Also, it shouldn’t be sought out by those with cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. If you do have any of these conditions, you do run some serious risks that most people do not. There is also a risk of paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. This is a very rare effect of CoolSculpting where instead of the fat going away, it hardens and gets bigger. As mentioned, this is very rare, and it isn’t really life threatening. But it’s still something to be aware of.

However, each of these risks listed above are not common. CoolSculpting really is considered to be safe. It is even the only Food and Drug Administration approved weight loss treatment. That says a lot about its general safety.

If you’re trying to decide if CoolSculpting is right for you, but still can’t. Set up an appointment with us here that the NIMA Institute. We offer free consultations for CoolSculpting. We will help guide you through the process and help you figure out if it is right for you. If you are still unsure, talk to your doctor. They should be able to guide you on the right path.

CoolSculpting: what is it and why is it popular?

Nowadays, there are so many different fads that relate to losing weight. Some are popular because they work, and others are popular because they are easy. We understand that losing weight is not an easy thing and sometimes you just cannot get rid of certain areas of fat. With all of the fad diets it is hard to know which is right for you and what will work best. There are also times when you find something that does work for you, but that stubborn fat above your knees? What about that little pooch on your stomach? How do you get rid of that? This is where CoolSculpting comes in. What is CoolSculpting and why has it come up in your searches? We will be answering those questions as well as more that you may not have thought of. Let’s start at the beginning, shall we?

NIMA: Who are we?

We are NIMA. We are one of the biggest CoolSculpting providers in the nation, we have more than one million CoolSculpting treatments that have been done worldwide. We are the top provider of CoolSculpting in Utah and one of the Top Ten Members of Allergan Partner Privileges. Maybe after reading this article you think maybe CoolSculpting is not for you. Well, we have good news for you! NIMA not only offers this fat freezing service but other services and treatments as well. Our NIMA spa offers laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation, HydraFacial, micro needling, Botox, dermal fillers, etc. Now that you know a bit about us, let us tell you about CoolSculpting.

Our CoolSculpting Expertise

CoolSculpting is a new innovative treatment to get rid of stubborn fat areas. Let’s say you have been eating right and working out but still can’t get rid of that annoying fat. This is where CoolSculpting Utah comes in! CoolSculpting targets fat cells in specific areas with intense cooling as well as pulling. This is why it is called “freezing fat”; we freeze the fat that you cannot seem to get rid of. CoolSculpting is a non-intrusive remedy for getting rid of stubborn fat that you have been carrying. Using CoolSculpting, you get rid of those fat cells, for good and no down time, unlike other fat removal treatments. CoolSculpting is the only FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved fat removal treatments, that way you know it is safe. After going through the treatments your body naturally removes the stubborn fat cells over time. The fat cells that are frozen by CoolSculpting can never come back in the same area.

This is cool and all, but how does it work? Let us tell you.

After your first consultation with us you will know how many sessions, where and how long they will be. At your first appointment you will come in, we set up the CoolSculpting machine on the area we have decided on and you just sit back and relax. While in your session you may feel a strong pulling sensation and that area will be quite cold. Many of our customers will read, work on their laptops, or listen to music while in their session. What about after? They head back to their daily routine because CoolSculpting has no down time. There are some feelings that you may feel during and then after the session.

During: pinching, numbness, deep pulling, tugging, or discomfort.

After: temporary numbness, pain, bruising, tingling, stinging, firmness, redness, or swelling.

Other than these small side effects there isn’t much to worry or think about. However, CoolSculpting is not made for everyone. Some rare side effects could happen, and people with cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria shouldn’t go through this treatment. Your consultation will help us decide if CoolSculpting will work for you. Those diagnosed with obesity should not get a CoolSculpting treatment done, as it is not a treatment for that.

When will I see all the fat I lost?

The answer really depends on what area you get the treatment done and the number of sessions you get done. Some folks could see results as quickly as three weeks. But we here at NIMA have seen that most customers see their results in around two months. Your body may continue to get rid of those dead cells up to six months. This will truly depend on your body type and the amount of fat cells killed and flushed out. This is not a “get rid of fat quick” treatment, we want you to understand that it may take a while before you see the results you have been looking for. A lot of customers ask what happens if you do gain weight again post-CoolSculpting. If you do gain any weight again, the weight will be more dispersed rather than stay in one area. It won’t settle in the area that you had CoolSculpted, it is not possible. There are no post-treatment rituals you should do, but with that being said, most of our clients are happy and excited with their result that they work even harder to keep that weight off so that they feel their best.

Some people are apprehensive about CoolSculpting because it seems a bit different. What other options are there, besides CoolSculpting?

Here’s a list: Liposuction, radiofrequency lipolysis/vanquish, TruSculpt, Kybella. Kybella is specifically made to use on double chins and is not an entire body treatment. We ask that you try to diet and exercise before coming to us for a Utah CoolSculpting treatment. Most of your other options for getting rid of fat are more intrusive and require far more down time. The results may seem quicker, but the harshness of the actual treatment/surgery may not be worth it.

CoolSculpting is widely popular because it seems like a fairly healthy way to remove fat. We would have to agree with that statement. But just because something is popular does not mean you should try it. Do your research and read some reviews. And of course, if you have further questions just let us know. What is the price of CoolSculpting?

Freezing Fat 101

Are you ready for class? That’s right, welcome to freezing fat 101. Here at NIMA, we want our customers and future customers to understand the ins and outs of CoolSculpting or what most know as freezing fat. What is freezing fat? Does it hurt? Will I have to exercise heavily after my treatment? These are all great questions, and we’ve got the answers. Freezing fat is our expertise, and we want to share it with you. We also want you to understand that CoolSculpting could change your life for the better. Without further ado, what is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting, what’s that?

What’s this treatment and how/why does it work? CoolSculpting is a treatment that removes fat cells from an area or areas on your body that you don’t know how to get rid of. This is for the stubborn fat. The fat that just won’t leave you alone even after all the diets and exercises. This can be the tummy, the back, arms, or even knees. CoolSculpting is the one and only FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approved fat removal service. This stamp of approval is important to remember as you continue reading about CoolSculpting as well as NIMA. How does it work? After your first free consultation, you will be scheduled with several sessions and how long those sessions will take will vary depending on a few factors. During each session, you will get our CoolSculpting machine placed on the areas we chose you needed and sit back and relax. The sensation may be uncomfortable initially, but our customers say they end up getting used to it.

How does CoolSculpting work?

The way that CoolSculpting works is interesting. The machine we place on the area you want fat gone uses intense cooling as well as pulling to freeze fat cells and only the fat cells. Once these fat cells are frozen, your body naturally takes them away. Once the fat cells are gone, they can’t ever come back in that area. If you do end up gaining some fat it won’t be able to settle in the area that the treatment was done. During your session, you can feel pinching, numbness, deep pulling, tugging, or discomfort, but our customers report getting used to the sensation like we said before. Although you can leave and go about your day after your treatment you may possibly feel temporary numbness, bruising, tingling, stinging, firmness, redness, pain, or swelling. Most side effects are temporary but some rare side effects may occur.  Everyone’s experience is different, of course, and we’ll be able to help you along the way.

Is freezing fat for me?

There are some people that CoolSculpting will not be right for. Those people include the people who have cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria or are obese. CoolSculpting is not a treatment for obesity. At your free consultation, our experts will help you understand whether CoolSculpting is right for you.

Are there other options?

We get this often and yes there are other options! Are they as great as CoolSculpting? We’ll let you decide. Here are a few other options: Liposuction, diet and exercise, radiofrequency lipolysis or vanquish, TruSculpt, Kybella. Kybella is specifically made for those double chins and is not whole-body treatment like the rest of these are. Most of these treatments/operations are intrusive and require a lot of down time. There is also the possibility of scarring of the skin. We require you to try a diet and exercises before starting CoolSculpting, but if you have stubborn fat has yet to go away with that method that’s probably why you are here.

Back to CoolSculpting: when will I see results?

Like most things, results will vary per each person. It will vary for different people and will depend on how long your session is and how many sessions you had. Some folks see results as soon as only three weeks! That being said, most people do not see results until the two-month mark. The fat cells can continue to be flushed out as long as six months. It all depends on your body and the amount of fat you are getting treated. A fun fact we touched on a bit before is that if you do end up gaining weight back, the fat cells cannot settle in the area you got the CoolSculpted on. It generally spreads around and is more even, but most customers are very pleased with the results that they take time to make sure they are their best and happiest selves.

Where can I get CoolSculpting done?

We want you to try CoolSculpting with us here at NIMA Institute. Why is that? First of all, not only are we an institute but we are a spa as well. Our spa offers laser hair removal, and laser skin rejuvenation, HydraFacialMicroneedlingBotox, dermal fillers, a bunch of different facials that can be geared toward your needs. But let’s get back to CoolSculpting, we are one of the top  CoolSculpting providers in the whole nation, we have more than one million treatments that have been achieved all over the world. We are #1 for CoolSculpting in the state Utah and a Top 10 Member of Allergan Partner Privileges. If that doesn’t say experts in freezing fat, we don’t know what can! Maybe you have read all of this and you are thinking CoolSculpting does, truly work, I want to see it for myself! Well, click here you will be led to our CoolSculpting page.

Freezing fat may seem like an outrageous way to get rid of fat. But we know that life is complicated, and it moves fast. Sometimes that extra “I just had a baby” weight will not budge and you, obviously just had a baby so down time would not be your friend. Yes, there are other options that you have seen results that look good, but the harm it may do to your body does not sound fun, if you ask us. We hope that you give freezing fat the attention it deserves. More on CoolSculpting for arms here.

How will I know that CoolSculpting is working?

As with pretty much any procedure, there are a lot of questions surrounding CoolSculpting. It is not just understandable to have a lot of questions, it’s also smart. No one should just dive into something like a weight loss procedure without having a solid understanding of what they’re getting themselves into. So, asking questions like how to know if it’s working is a very good thing to do. And we here at the NIMA institute want to help you understand CoolSculpting and what to expect from it. So, let’s get started by explaining what CoolSculpting is and how it works.

What is CoolSculpting?

It’s pretty likely that you’ve heard of CoolSculpting before. It has received a fair amount of attention recently and for good reason. It is essentially just freezing away fat. We know that sounds pretty farfetched, but it works, and its results are pretty impressive.

CoolSculpting works by targeting stubborn fat. This is pockets of fat that develop through your adolescents. We all have them. Those areas of fat that don’t seem to go away no matter what you do and whenever you gain weight it all seems to settle in those areas. CoolSculpting is designed to get rid of those areas.

Fat freezes at a much warmer temperature than pretty much any other kind of cell. This means that while fat cells may be killed from a particular temperature, skin and muscle cells require something much colder in order to be affected negatively in any way. CoolSculpting takes advantage of this. By exposing areas with stubborn fat to fat’s freezing temperature, the fat cells are killed, but the muscle and skin cells are left virtually untouched. Pretty cool, right?

This is generally preferable to other weight loss procedures like liposuction because it doesn’t cause any sort of damage to the surrounding area. This is not only nice because it helps avoid complications, but it also helps make sure that there is no downtime. You don’t need to take time to recover. But we’re getting a little ahead of ourselves. Let’s talk about how CoolSculpting sessions work.

An average CoolSculpting session is pretty simple. Your CoolSculpting technician will place a protective pad on the target area. This pad helps ensure that your skin doesn’t experience any damage from the process. Then they will place the CoolSculpting SLC applicator on the target area. The technician will then let it run for a predetermined period of time. During this you may experience some mild tugging or pinching, but eventually the area will numb and that will stop. While the applicator is running, you can sit back and relax. Many people choose to read or work during their session. You may even choose to nap. However you want to spend that time is up to you. Once the session is done that’s it. You can go home, go back to work, or go run some errands. Basically, you can get right back to your life.

This is part of the reason why CoolSculpting is so popular. There is no need to take time to recover. You may have to do multiple sessions, but once each session is done, that’s it. You don’t have to take time off of work. The only thing that you have to make time for is each session itself.

If you’re wanting to give CoolSculpting a try, the first thing that you need to do is set up an appointment for a free consultation. During this meeting with one of our CoolSculpting experts, you will determine whether CoolSculpting is the right fit for you, where your target areas are, and how many sessions you’ll need. This consultation is very important because CoolSculpting isn’t for everyone. You shouldn’t do CoolSculpting if you’re obese as it is made for people who are nearing the end of their weight loss journey. You also shouldn’t do CoolSculpting if you have cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, as those with these conditions could experience major complications.

Another thing to note about CoolSculpting is that after each session there may be some minor side effects. They tend to be swelling, bruising, and/or redness. Generally, they aren’t too serious and go away after a little while.

When will it start working?

Here’s the interesting part of CoolSculpting: it starts working pretty much immediately. The applicator is nice and cold and freezes the fat cells killing them. The confusion that some people have is that the results aren’t immediate. Because your body needs a chance to notice that the cells are dead and to get rid of them, it can take up to two months to notice any serious results. Your CoolSculpting technician will message the target area, to help break up the cells and speed up the process, but that can only do so much.

So, how can you know that CoolSculpting is working? Mainly by being patient. Just hang on, pay attention to your target area (or areas), and wait. Some people notice serious and real results in just a week or two, for others it takes longer. It depends on the target area and how much stubborn fat was there. Eventually, it will go away. You just have to wait.

But once the CoolSculpting has done its work and the stubborn fat is gone, it is really gone. If you gain weight back, it won’t focus in that area again, like it used to. Instead it will spread out more evenly. However, most people work hard to keep the fat off because they are so thrilled with their results.

CoolSculpting can have some pretty incredible results. But they take time to actually take effect. This could mean that you may be waiting a few months to notice your results, but they will happen. If you have any questions or concerns about CoolSculpting, be sure to your doctor. While CoolSculpting is approved and considered to be safe by the Food and Drug Administration, it’s still perfectly understandable to have misgivings. We want to be sure that your Cool Sculpting Salt Lake City experience is as pleasant as possible. Click here for CoolSculpting on arms.

CoolSculpting for arms and more

There is a pretty good chance you’ve heard of CoolSculpting before. But usually, it’s probably been in reference to the stomach. Most people like to get CoolSculpting to help get rid of that extra little pouch on their tummies, to help them have a flatter midriff. However, there are a lot more options with CoolSculpting than just your stomach, you can get it done on the chin, thighs, back, and of course, arms. Basically, anywhere that you can pinch a little bit of fat, you can get CoolSculpting done there. But how does this all work? Let’s talk about how CoolSculpting works and what to expect if you’re going to get it done on your arms.

What is CoolSculpting?

You have probably heard the basic description of CoolSculpting: freezing away fat. But let’s explain how exactly that works.

Every cell in your body has a temperature where it freezes and dies. As it turns out, fat has a much warmer threshold for freezing than pretty much any other cell. Basically, this means that cold temperatures that skin and muscle cells can handle with no problem will kill fat cell. CoolSculpting utilizes this to your advantage. It is using that freezing temperature of fat to kill those cells but leave the surrounding cells untouched. This is pretty different from most other weight loss procedures, like liposuction. Other procedures are invasive and cause damage to surrounding cells. CoolSculpting treatments stay on the surface and don’t do much to any cells besides fat.

The average CoolSculpting Utah session is pretty straightforward. It starts with a CoolSculpting technician placing a protective pad on or around the target area. While CoolSculpting is considered to be very safe, precautions like the pad are there to help ensure that there is no unexpected damage to your skin. Then the technician will put the CoolSculpting applicator in place. This applicator may look different depending on your target area. The applicator will stay in place for a predetermined period of time. During that time, you can do whatever you please. Many people read or nap. Some even get some work done on a tablet or phone. After the time is up, the technician will message the target area (this helps the frozen fat cells break up) and you can go on with your day.

That last part is actually part of the reason why people love CoolSculpting so much. After your session is over that’s it. You don’t have to take any recovery time or downtime. You can go back to work, back to running errands, back to your life. While you may have several CoolSculpting sessions, each session will end with you being able to go back to whatever you please.

You should note that it may be a little while before you will notice any effects from you CoolSculpting sessions. This is because the fat may be dead, but it doesn’t just magically go away. It takes time for your body to notice that the cells have died and take the steps to get rid of the dead, frozen cells. Depending on where your target area is, how much fat is there, and your general body type it may take anywhere from two weeks to two months for you to notice effects. If it’s been a little while since your last session and you haven’t noticed any changes, give it some more time. Bodies tend to run on their own time.

Should I get it for my arms?

This a question that you’ll have to answer for yourself. If you feel like you need CoolSculpting on your arms, make an appointment for a free consultation here at the NIMA Institute. Together you and one of our CoolSculpting experts will sit down, figure out if you’re eligible for CoolSculpting, if your arms are your target area, how many sessions it will take, and if there are any other target areas you may be interested in. During this consultation you may decide that CoolSculpting for your arms is exactly what you need, or you may decide that it’s not for you. Either way, this consultation is the best way to make an informed decision about the procedure.

As mentioned, CoolSculpting could be done just about anywhere. The stomach is plenty common, as are arms. Many people choose to get CoolSculpting on their backs to help get rid of the dreaded bra-strap-bulge. It is also common to get CoolSculpting on your chin, to keep it to one chin instead of many chins. Others have preferred focusing on their thighs instead of their upper bodyThere isn’t many places that you can’t get Utah CoolSculpting done, so take your pick!

It should be noted that CoolSculpting isn’t for everyone. The treatment is designed for those who are oh-so-close to their target weight, but need help getting rid of some of that stubborn fat. It is not made for those diagnosed with obesity. You also shouldn’t get CoolSculpting if you are extremely sensitive to the cold or if you have paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuriacryoglobulinemia, or any other similar condition. If you’re unsure if CoolSculpting is right for you, then you may want to talk to your doctor first.

It should also be noted that during your session you may feel some odd sensations. They’re generally along the lines of things like pinching, tugging, and tingling. These are eventually followed by numbness in the target area. The numbness will fade not long after the session is done. After each session, you may also notice some side effects. These are very mild. They generally include redness, bruising, swelling, and sensitivity in the treated area. These do tend to go away not long after a little while.

So, no matter where you choose to get your CoolSculpting done, it could help you get rid of that frustrating stubborn fat. After your CoolSculpting is done, having wings on your arms may be a thing of the past. Schedule your free consultation with one of our CoolSculpting experts todayThen you’ll be one step closer to loving a new you.

Does CoolSculpting work on chins?

The double chin: the bane of pretty much everyone’s existence these days. How many times have you opened your phones camera, to find the front-facing camera showing you what feels like a multitude of chins? Everyone with a smartphone has done that at some point and it is not pleasant to say the least. And let’s not even start on trying to find a good angle for a picture that doesn’t showcase the chins. Are you tired of your “selfie angle” being way above your head? Well, CoolSculpting may be a solution to that.

There is a chance that you’ve heard of CoolSculpting before. But it’s just as likely that it has been in the context of getting rid of fat on the legs, stomach, or arms. So, could it work on something as tender as the area around the face? Could you get CoolSculpting done on your chin? Well, let’s talk about it together. But first, let’s start with defining CoolSculpting.

Does CoolSculpting work at all?

We know that CoolSculpting sounds a little far-fetched. Freezing fat sounds almost counterintuitive. Like you’re storing it for a later date. But it really does work. It is because every kind of cell has a freezing temperature that doesn’t just make it a little chilly, it actually kills it. Fat cells freeze at a much higher temperature than all of the other cells surrounding it, like skin and muscle cells. So, when your fat cells are exposed to that temperature, they freeze, die, and (eventually) are expelled from your body. Meanwhile, the surrounding cells are left virtually untouched. This is a stark contrast when compared to other weight loss procedures like liposuction, which is intrusive and causes damage to the surrounding cells.

In fact, there is another very appealing difference between CoolSculpting and practically every other weight loss procedure: CoolSculpting does not require any downtime. Unlike other procedures, which can leave you laid up for a few days, after you CoolSculpting session, you can get right back to your life. How nice is that? No need to ask for time off, no need to completely upend your schedule.

A typical CoolSculpting session is pretty simple. You go in, your CoolSculpting technician preps you by placing a pad that acts an added barrier between your skin and the applicator, then they set the applicator on the desired area, and set it to cool. During the session you can sit back and do whatever. Some people read, others nap, and the more ambitious CoolSculpting clients work on their phones or tablets. During your CoolSculpting session you may notice a bit of a tugging and/or a pinching. That is totally normal and will likely go away, because most people experience a temporary numbness in the desired area. Once the predetermined time (determined during your free consultation) has passed, the technician takes off the applicator and messages the desired area, which helps break up the frozen cells and speeds up getting the cells to go away. That’s all there is to it. Once it’s all done, you can get back to your busy life.

Unfortunately, CoolSculpting is not magic, so you won’t see result immediately. You may not see any serious results for a few months. This is because the body needs time to process the fact that those fat cells are dead. Then it needs time to actually get rid of the cells. All-in-all this could take up to six months. Many people notice results faster, it just depends. The area of the CoolSculpting, the amount of fat in the area, and your general body type are all factors in how quickly the fat goes away.

But here is the really cool part (pun only kind of intended): the fat stays away once it’s gone. You may gain weight again, but it is more likely to be more spread out instead of concentrated in that one spot like before. People are usually so excited about the results that they work hard to make sure that the fat stays off. So, that trouble area is not likely to trouble you anymore.

Well, enough about the generals of CoolSculpting. Let’s get to what you came here for. Let’s talk about CoolSculpting your chin!

How about on chins?

The answer to this is easy enough: Yes, CoolSculpting Salt Lake City can be preformed on chins and with pretty great results!

Most CoolSculpting applicators look like they would be too much for your chin. But they are not the only CoolSculpting applicators out there. We here at NIMA know that the chin is a common trouble spot for many people. So, we have a CoolSculpting applicator made for the chin. It’s shaped like a little cup, and you just hold it to your chin for the session. One of the benefits of doing CoolSculpting on your chin is that it is faster than pretty much every other area. Since the chin is so small the sessions don’t last as long and you are not likely to require as many as you may for some larger place, like your thighs. Because there are fewer cells to get rid of, you’ll probably see results much faster.

Interested yet? Great! But before you can completely jump into CoolSculpting there are some things that you should know. CoolSculpting is made for those who are so close to their desired weight, but just can’t seem to reach it. It is not an option for those diagnosed with obesity. It should also not be sought out by those who have Raynaud’s disease or are very sensitive to the cold. If you are at all uncertain, talk with your doctor. They will be able to help you determine the safety of CoolSculpting for you.

If you are ready to get started with CoolSculpting, please contact us here at NIMA. We will set you up with a free consultation where you and a CoolSculpting expert will determine your target areas, how many sessions you’ll need, and how long those sessions should be. You can contact us using the contact page on our website. It’s time you start loving your selfies.

Is the cost of CoolSculpting worth it?

If you have tried looking into CoolSculpting before, one thing becomes clear pretty quickly: it is not the cheapest option out there. The average price range is around $2,000-$4,000. So, it’s not exactly pocket change (at least, not for most of us), but it doesn’t completely break the bank either. That price tag does make many people hesitate. We get it. Those prices can be more than a little daunting to many of us. Which leads to several people asking if that price is even worth it. That is a question that we think is worth looking into. So, let’s talk about it.

What even is CoolSculpting?

Let’s start by defining CoolSculpting Utah just in case you are still a little unsure about what it is. Afterall, having a good understanding of a procedure like this can help you decide if the price is worth it.

CoolSculpting is a weight loss treatment that is rather unique in its methods. That is, it gets rid of fat by freezing it. Sounds weird, right? Afterall, why do people engage in exercise like hot yoga if cold is how you get rid of fat? Well, there is a bit more to it than that.

Fat freezes at a warmer temperature than the other cells surrounding it. This means that if you subject fat cells to that temperature for an extended period of time, the fat will die while the other cells are more-or-less untouched. When the body notice that those cells are dead, it gets rid of them (no need for something to take up space if its not doing anything). In this way, CoolSculpting gets rid of stubborn fat without causing damage to surrounding tissue. This is pretty different from other, more intrusive weight loss procedures like liposuction. With those, the surrounding cells and tissue get cut and need time to heal. With CoolSculpting there is no heal time required.

In fact, that is one of the benefits and appeals of CoolSculpting. There is no need for downtime. After your treatment, you can just go back to your day. So, there is no need to take time off or disrupt your whole life for a few weeks. You can just get your treatments and head back to work or get other errands done.

While we are talking about the treatments, let’s talk about what an average treatment is like. During a CoolSculpting session, you sit or lay in a comfy chair and a CoolSculpting technician places a protective pad on your target area. This pad is there as an added provision to make sure that your skin is completely protected from the cold. Then the technician places the CoolSculpting applicator on the target area and starts it. After that all you need to do is relax. You can read or nap during your session. Some people even use it as an opportunity to get some work done. Once the allotted amount of time has passed, the technician messages the target area to help break up the frozen cells and kick start the process that gets rid of the dead cells. After the session is over (which can last from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the target area), you go back to your daily life. It’s that simple!

Is it worth it?

Well, that depends on you. You have to decide if the price is worth the results. And for the record, the results are pretty great.

The fat goes away after two weeks to six moths (yes, that is a wide range of time, but you have to give the body time to process the dead cells). Once the fat is gone, it stays gone. If you gain weight back, it doesn’t focus in that problem area like it did before. Instead it shows up more evenly, spreading throughout your body. But this is not often even a problem, because most people are so thrilled with the results of their CoolSculpting that they make sure that they keep the weight off.

One thing that may make some people hesitate to get CoolSculpting done is that they worry that the procedure is going to be unpleasant. However, this shouldn’t be too much of a worry. During the session you may experience some pressure and pinching, but the area quickly numbs, and those feelings go away. There may be a little bit of redness, bruising, or swelling after the treatment is done, but that also fades. So, CoolSculpting is not as scary as it may seem at first.

You should know that there are some people who do not qualify for CoolSculpting. It is a treatment that is made for people who are oh-so-close to their target weight but can’t seem to lose that last fatty area or two. It is not made for people who have been diagnosed with obesity. It also shouldn’t be sought out by those who have Raynaud’s disease.
