Tuition Planning Process
Before you reach out to NIMA to begin your application, please review our tuition planning requirements. There are multiple ways to fund your NIMA education.
● Federal Financial Aid (Aesthetic licensure programs only)
● Private Loans
● In-House Financing*
*NIMA will provide in-house financing for students who have exhausted all federal and private funding options. All applicants must complete FAFSA and apply to 2 private lending institutions prior to being considered for in-house financing. Interest will apply and will vary based on current market rates.
If you are ready to pay your tuition in full, and will not require federal or private loans, you do not need to complete steps 2-3. Your next step is to complete our online application.
Once you have submitted your application, a NIMA Enrollment Specialist will contact you to set up an enrollment meeting. At your enrollment meeting we will:
- Collect a $1,000 down payment
- Schedule payment for your full tuition (due at least 30 days prior to your start date)
- Note All Credit Card Transactions Are Subject To A 3% Processing Fee
- Finalize your enrollment date
- Finalize your attendance schedule
- Sign your enrollment agreement
All students that are not ready to pay tuition in full are required to complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process prior to completing this application. All students will qualify for some form of federal tuition assistance. NIMA requires that students accept all available federal funds prior to qualifying for in-house financing.
There are 3 types of federal tuition assistance:
● Grants – need based, no repayment required
● Subsidized – need based, repayment required, does not accrue interest while in school
● Unsubsidized – all students qualify for unsubsidized loans, repayment required, interest is accrued from start of loan
