Trained Phlebotomists within a med spa play a key role in the world of esthetics. They are tasked with drawing blood from patients who are receiving plasma treatments performed by the licensed state approved medical professionals in the clinic for the following treatments: hair restoration, intimate wellness, facials, facelifts, breast lifts, under eye correction, etc. The importance of trained phlebotomists cannot be overstated. This unique training will focus on being a successful phlebotomist in a med spa setting. This course teaches the practice of basic phlebotomy needed for a medical spa setting, overview of the human body that relates to a successful blood draw, blood collection procedures of the arm, safety, sanitation, along with proper disposal. As part of your training, you will draw blood from classmates and your own personal volunteers to gain practical experience. This training can open the door for many phlebotomy opportunities, keeping in mind that other institutions such as hospitals, insurance companies, healthcare clinics may require further or more specific medical training.
