SALT LAKE CITY – December 11, 2014 – The National Institute of Medical Aesthetics (NIMA)(nima.edu) announced today that they have been named one of Utah Business Magazine’s Best Companies To Work For in 2014.
See the article on Best Companies to Work For in Utah Business Magazine here.
The Best Companies To Work For awards honor companies that make work a place that employees look forward to going every day. Any Utah based business can participate. As part of the nomination each company goes through a two-tier survey process:
- A company survey for the HR/corporate department.
- A survey for the company’s employees.
The surveys ask questions about benefits and compensation, growth opportunities, company culture and management. Upon completion, survey responses are scored based on a point system and the highest-ranking organizations are deemed the Best Companies to Work For.
“We genuinely care about our employees and are honored to be recognized as one of Utah’s Best Companies to Work For,” said Christina McGarvey, President of NIMA. “This recognition is the result of our dedicated team and the commitment they have to providing our students and customers with the highest level of laser and cosmetic procedures available while making NIMA a fun, enjoyable place to work and where they can have a career in a profession they love.”
Some of the employee perks and benefits that led to this award include:
- Free spa services, Botox and injections, and laser services.
- 401(k) matching 4% plan.
- Cell phone plan reimbursement.
- Multiple opportunities for community involvement.
Additionally, many NIMA employees are working mothers, and the company strives to provide them with the flexibility they need. Here are a few of the comments from the employee survey portion of the award:
“They [NIMA] care about us being with our families,” explains an employee. “I can take whatever [time] I need off as long as I get my job done, [and] work from home when needed.”
“I feel that NIMA is dedicated to developing their employees and helping them grow with the company.”
“Every employee gets opportunities for continuing education for free. Rarely does an employee leave NIMA because of the many growth opportunities working for such a new and fast-growing company.”
