Course Description

Whether you are performing laser rejuvenation services, applying chemical peels or massaging a client during a relaxing facial, an intimate knowledge of the skin and the muscle structure that supports it, is paramount in being able to provide safe and effective treatments. NIMA takes your education where no other esthetics training center in the country can take it; inside the human body. Students in the NIMA Anatomy Cadaver Lab course will have the opportunity to visit a certified cadaver lab and observe up-close the layers of the skin the muscle structures and tissues that support them as they watch the partial dissection of a cadaver. Students will learn from licensed professionals about how each of these structures interact and react and observe for themselves the depths of skin layers and key anatomy structures. No license is required to attend this fascinating and unique course.

JONATHAN BENNION, PA-C
Jonathan found his love for teaching 12 years ago while attaining his degree in Health Promotion and Education at the University of Utah. During his pre-medical coursework he took an anatomy course from Professor Mark Nielsen. He was asked to be one of Professor Nielsen’s teaching assistants and immediately fell in love with teaching and learning about the human body. During his time at the University of Utah, Jonathan spent many hours in the cadaver lab receiving training in teaching and dissection. Over the years Jonathan has taught Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and Pathology at many different schools and workshops, including his cadaver lab the Institute of Human Anatomy. Jonathan is also a PA-C and completed his medical training at Samuel Merritt University in the Bay Area. He currently works with patients in Urgent Care. When Jonathan is not teaching, dissecting, or working with patients he enjoys rock climbing, basketball, and traveling.
